Rockwood Lithium asked Aquist to execute a study to find new brine production points
Methodology
A hydrogeological and hydrochemical data gathering process was conducted besides lithologic information. In the other hand, several stratigraphic columns were analyzed to locate areas with a better hydraulic behaviour. The hydraulic parameters were estimated by pumping test analysis.
Advisory
With the information gathered, a complete analysis of all hydrogeological variables was performed, creating hydraulic behaviour and hydrochemical maps and correlating the aquifer units stratigraphic columns. Water levels in the area were considered too.
In total, 12 points were located to start underground lithium enriched brine collection works and 2 exploration piezometers.
